WebRezPro is a cloud-based PMS used by over 2,000+ hospitality companies across the globe. The software supports everything from online bookings management to front desk check-ins, housekeeping, guest ledgers, availability calendars, and so much more.
But what truly extends WebRezPro’s capabilities is its support of 150+ integrations. And that’s where you can get integrated payment processing from.
The software supports integrated processing through a variety of methods, including:
- Its own branded payment solution.
- Direct integrations with payment processors.
- POS integrations.
- Payment gateway integrations.
This means there’s a good chance you can keep your existing payment processor while using WebRezPro for hospitality management. But the way you connect payments with the software can directly impact your merchant fees.
I’ll break down the differences and what you need to know about each one below.
WebRezPay (Powered by Fullsteam)
WebRezPay is the software’s branded payment solution built directly into PMS software. Since it’s offered directly from WebRezPro and is the only payment option marketed heavily on their website, it may seem like the logical choice for many businesses. Especially when the WebRezPro sales reps start pushing it on you.
But if you already have a payment processor, don’t switch to WebRezPay. And this particular setup can be much more expensive than you might initially realize.
How the WebRezPay setup actually works
WebRezPro partners with Fullsteam to handle processing behind the scenes. These types of relationships always come with inflated rates because two players need to take a cut (WebRezPro and Fullsteam).
However, it’s worth noting that Fulsteam doesn’t actually process payments in-house. They operate as a payment technology company and rely on Fiserv’s acquiring services for backend processing.
In short, Fullsteam is basically a PayFac. And while there’s nothing inherently wrong with this setup (lots of providers do this), it will ultimately result in higher fees for hotels using WebRezPay.
Because now you have three separate companies that need to turn a profit: WebRezPro, Fullsteam, and Fiserv.
WebRezPro is incentivized to push you toward this solution because it’s so profitable for them. So much so that they actually removed all other integrated payment options from their partner page. Those options still exist, but you need to “contact WebRezPro” to learn more about them, instead of just seeing them displayed alongside all of the other 150+ integrations.
Why Fullsteam can be a problem on its own
Even if we push all of that aside for a minute and just focus on Fullsteam, there are other issues you should know about this provider.
First, Fullsteam increases rates at least once and sometimes twice per year, including a recent rate hike that went into effect in April 2026.
Second, their reporting is among the worst industry-wide. It’s not transparent at all, and you literally need to have multiple months of statements to understand your rates. Because the fees from your current month’s statement will include fees from two months ago.
You can check out our complete Fullsteam review for more insights. But overall, the point I’m trying to make is that WebRezPay isn’t as good as WebRezPro’s marketing materials claim it to be.
Shift4
Shift4 is one of WebRezPro’s oldest supported payment integrations. They first announced this capability back in 2006, and the options have expanded since.
The integration can be set up in two main ways:
- Via Shift4’s payment gateway.
- Or through a POS solution provided by Shift4.
The best option for you and your business depends on your current setup.
Meaning if you’re already using Shift4 for payment processing, you shouldn’t have to change anything you’re doing to sync with WebRezPro. The gateway integration will work for virtually any Shift4 backend processing.
But if you’re already using one of the Shift4 POS systems that specifically integrate with WebRezPro (like Future POS or Focus POS), then you can continue using those systems and facilitate the integration that way.
Those POS integrations are already pre-established through APIs with WebRezPro. So the setup should be pretty straightforward.
Generally speaking, Shift4 is a decent processor and they’re one of the top providers in the hospitality space. That said, you just need to watch out for certain things that cause your rates to go up.
There are specific Shift4 fees that can inflate your costs that you should try to get removed from your account. And you should also make sure you’re on a true IC+ plan rather than Shift4’s simple change pricing.
If you do those two things, you should be able to get a good deal.
Lightspeed
Lightspeed is another POS integration that’s supported by WebRezPro.
On the payment processing side, there are a few noteworthy things to understand about this provider.
Lightspeed is unique in the sense that you can use them as both your POS provider and credit card processor. Or you can just use the POS system, and then integrate with your own processor (from select options).
By default, Lightspeed Payments is its own native processor for the POS system. On the backend, they utilize sub-processors like:
- Adyen
- Cayan (TSYS)
- Propay
- Stripe
But if you just want Lightspeed POS without the processing included, the system also integrates directly with providers like:
- Cayan
- Worldpay
- Bridgepay
Other direct processor integrations are available in select areas of Europe (like Verifone, iZettle, and Worldline).
This is a roundabout way of getting additional processors to integrate with WebRezPro. Because technically, you’re just integrating Lightspeed with the PMS software. But if you have a separate processor on the backend of your Lightspeed POS, it’s effectively the same result.
Lightspeed often tries to push flat-rate pricing on merchants. But we definitely don’t recommend that. Force them to give you an IC+ setup.
And you should also be aware that Lightspeed does charge a $400 monthly fee if you’re using its POS but not its payment solution. So you’ll pay a premium for that setup.
Toast
The Toast integration is probably the most straightforward. This is another POS integration.
But again, this only makes sense if you’re already using Toast. Don’t switch to Toast purely so you can be integrated with WebRezPro.
Toast doubles as a POS provider and payment processor. It’s a closed-loop ecosystem, and you can’t integrate Toast with another backend processor.
One thing that’s good about Toast is that they don’t raise rates nearly as much as other providers on the market. But there’s a catch. They don’t raise rates because their pricing is already very expensive from the start.
We typically find merchants using Toast pay up to four or five times more than processing directly through a traditional acquiring bank and merchant account.
There is some justification for the premium, as you’re getting more than just processing (you get all-in-one POS with extra features). But still, I don’t know that it commands such a high price.
Toast is PayFac and that setup always costs more. So you typically know that going in. Just don’t let them charge you more for integrating with WebRezPro.
And if you’re already using Toast, there’s a good chance you’re overpaying. But you can negotiate with them directly to get lower rates. If you need help with this, just reach out to our team here at MCC for a free audit.
Other Gateway Providers That Integrate With WebRezPro
In addition to the POS systems and processors above, the PMS software also supports several different payment gateways, including:
- Stripe
- Authorize.net
- PayPal
- Powertranz
- Moneris
- Planet
- Tenerum
This means that if you’re using another processor that doesn’t directly integrate with WebRezPro, you can still set up the integration through a gateway provider.
Stripe and Authorize.net alone likely cover every major US-based processor.
The Bottom Line
Integrated payment processing with WebRezPro is definitely appealing for hotels and properties of all sizes. It’s worth having the payments linked to your software, as it streamlines operations and reduces the need for manual reconciliation.
But you should be able to set this up using your existing processor.
WebRezPro heavily pushes you toward its own payment system (WebRezPay). But that structure ends up being really expensive compared to alternatives.
Most of you should be able to connect your existing processor, either through a direct integration or through your POS system. And if that doesn’t work, just use a gateway as a middleman.
There are added costs to integrated processing. So this is also a good time to evaluate other merchant fees on your account. Chances are, you’ve got room to save some money.
