One of the reasons why Square is so popular is because the hardware options are so versatile. You can turn your iOS device into a Square terminal using the Square Reader for magstripe to collect payments on the go. 

Alternatively, you can use the Square Register or Square Terminal for a more traditional behind-the-counter POS solution.

Vend is exclusively software. Unlike other POS solutions on the market, Vend does not process payments or sell hardware. 

This makes Vend a top choice for small retailers that want to continue using their own hardware without switching payment processors

The entry-level plan is only good for small pop-up shops or markets. If you have at least one store location, you’ll need to upgrade. Payment processing rates for in-store purchases vary based on your plan.
